Are you looking to escape from the real world for just a little bit? Then we suggest joining the Arkansas Arts Center – and Bilbo Baggins – on the adventure of a lifetime.
Step into Middle Earth and attend the Children’s Theatre’s performance of “The Hobbit”. This play is an adaptation of the beloved work from J.R.R. Tolkien, created especially for the stage by Allan Keith Smith. Like the book, it follows Bilbo Baggins as he joins 13 dwarves – and, of course, Gandalf – to reclaim the dwarves’ treasure from the terrifying dragon Smaug. This story is filled with adventure, humor, and courage to make for a wonderful theater experience for all ages.
To make the experience memorable for children of all ages, the theater will also be offering multiple special events. On Friday, April 26th, you can join the cast after the show for the Opening Night Celebration. This includes snacks and punch to celebrate. On Friday, May 3rd, you can put on your pajamas and enjoy the show in comfort. Finally, the theater will also be putting on an American Sign Language (ASL) performance on Saturday, May 4th, where the performance will be interpreted by ASL interpreters.
The beloved work from J.R.R. Tolkien is set to come to life on the stage from April 26th to May 12th. Tickets can be bought here, and will cost $10 for members and $12.50 for non-members.
Here at Russell Honda, we hope you and your crew have a memorable adventure at the theater.
