In our home state of Arkansas, there’s always something to do while the leaves are changing, from music festivals to outdoor celebrations. Our staff at Russell Honda has rustled up five of our favorite fall festivals in Arkansas — be sure to check them all out.
- King Biscuit Blues Festival (October 4 to October 7)
Arkansas is home to the Blues! Big name bands and solo artists flock to St. Francis for this renowned music fest. Music lovers would be to remiss to skip this cultural-touchstone event.
- Arkansas Paranormal Expo (October 7 to October 8)
Nothing will bring out the spooky spirit of the season like the Arkansas Paranormal Expo. Held in the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, a building that itself looks haunted, you’ll get to hear from paranormal guest speakers, with areas of expertise ranging from UFOlogy to local folklore.
- Arkansas State Fair (October 12 to October 22)
If you’ve never been to the Arkansas State Fair, the “Natural State of Fun,” what’s your excuse? With delightful rides, delicious fair food, and live music, and a real-life rodeo, it’s next to impossible to be bored here.
- Arkansas Cornbread Festival (October 21)
We know what you’re thinking: A whole festival dedicated to cornbread? Where do I sign up! You don’t even need to sign up. Just head to Little Rock on October 21st and come hungry. Don’t forget to get a picture with the Cornbread Festival’s mascot.
- Ozark Folk Festival (November 2 to November 4)
The best place to hear the best new music is where it’s born. If you’re at all interested in the down-home stylings of Midwestern folk music, do NOT miss out on the Ozark Folk Festival, taking place in early November.
If you need a reliable new ride to get yourself to any (or, as we suggested, all) of these fall festivals in Arkansas, pay us a visit at Russell Honda. We’ll get you into something efficient and comfortable, like the all-new 2018 Honda Accord.
