With Memorial Day just around the corner, everyone is preparing for the inevitably hot Arkansas summer. Give your family a respite from the heat with a fun trip to an Arkansas water park.
Magic Springs Theme and Water Park
Hot Springs, Arkansas is just an hour west of Russell Honda. Aside from plenty of other enjoyable activities, you’ll find Magic Springs Theme and Water Park. This popular amusement park has a fine collection of thrill rides and coasters. When it’s time to cool down, the water park will keep you occupied for hours with big water slides and a lazy river.
Wild River Country
Little Rock is home to its own cool waterpark. At Wild River Country, you can take a dip in the wave pool, relax and cool off in the lazy river, or race down one of the waterslides.
Rogers Aquatic Center
Although it’s three hours northwest from Little Rock, Rogers Aquatic Center is worth the trip. There are tons of unique ways to enjoy a dip in the water here, as well as impressive concession stands and a rock wall challenge.
Parrot Island Waterpark
Head south from Rogers Aquatic Center to visit Parrot Island Waterpark. Palm tree decor and bright colors give this water park a splash of the tropics. It’s one of your must-take day trips for family summer fun in Arkansas.
You know what they say—there ain’t no spring break like an Arkansas spring break. We have assembled a list of awesome activities going on this spring that you and your family will be crazy about. From week-long day camps to single day activities all over Central Arkansas, you’ll have a hard time picking which you want to do the most!
The Little Rock Athletic Club and River City Gymnastics will both be holding all-week day camps, one for ages 3-5 and one for ages 5-12. The CALS Main Library, DeGray Lake, Pinnacle Mountain State Park, Sonshine Academy, and La Ouachita State Park will all be holding general activities throughout the week, including games, nature programs, hikes, movie screenings, and much more. See more on littlerockfamily.com.
You don’t have to attend an event to have a fun spring break, though. Go skating, visit the Old Mill, or ride along the Central Arkansas River Trail. Just use the time off and the beautiful weather to get out and enjoy the outside world. We’re wishing you a wonderful spring break from the Russell Honda family.

Art & History
Little Rock is full of interesting and important history, so if you’re a fan of museums and landmarks, this is the place for you. Little Rock was the center of desegregation in the 1950s when the Little Rock Nine, a group of nine students, were the first Black students to attend the all-white Little Rock Central High School. The school still stands along with a museum.
Little Rock is also the home of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library, the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, the Hearne Fine Art Gallery, and a wide range of museum centers for nature, art, culture, and history.
If art and history aren’t your style, Little Rock still has plenty for you. We have relatively warm weather all year, so it’s a great place to come if you like the outdoors. We have all kinds of spots, like the Big Dam Bridge, Pinnacle Mountain State Park, and Riverfront Park, where you can hike, fish, boat, and picnic.
Little Rock is also a great place to just have a good time, whether you’re with a group of friends or you’re on a family trip. From spending an evening at the Mystery Mansion Escape Room to taking your kids to the Altitude Trampoline Park or the Big Rock Fun Park, there’s always something to do in Little Rock.
